Why study Statistics at UBC Okanagan?

The science of understanding and managing uncertainty is ultimately concerned with using theory and methods to extract information from data to make informed decisions about real-world problems.

This program provides you with a solid understanding in theoretical, computational and applied aspects of statistical science.

Modern statistics deals with all forms of information, including numeric, categorical and/or textual. Statisticians use mathematical and computational tools to make sense of data, an essential skill in all fields of science, industry and government.
